Dwayne Johnson Is “Black Adam” The First DC Super Hero

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has got a new role in Hollywood–well, in the world. Johnson is starring in the first-ever DC super hero film “Black Adam” based on the DC characters created by Bill Parker and C.C. Beck.

The film produced by Beau Flynn, Dwayne Johnson, Hiram Garcia and Dany Garcia tells the story of Seth Adam who was bestowed with almighty powers of the gods. After using his powers for vengeance, he was imporisoned, becoming Black Adam.

Nearly 5,000 years have passed and Black Adam has gone from man, to myth, to legend. Now released, his unique form of justice, born out of rage, is challenged by modern day heroes who form the Justice Society: Hawkman, Dr. Fate, Atom Smasher and Cyclone.

Bringing the DC super hero to the big screen for the first time is directer Jaume Collet-Sera from the “Jungle Cruise”.

Johnson stars alongside Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, Sarah Shahi, Marwan Kenzari and Pierce Brosnan as Dr. Fate.

“Black Adam,” smashing into theaters and IMAX theaters near you October 21 2022.
