Christian Alicea, the puertorican singer and leading voice of modern Salsa, has signed an exclusive booking contract with entertainment and live events powerhouse, Loud And Live.
Loud and Live founder and CEO, Nelson Albareda – who envisioned a tropical music resurrection two years ago – is convinced that Alicea can lead the way to a new era of popularity for the genre. In a press release that was issued on Thursday Sept. 14, Albareda said “Christian es un joven de talento excepcional que, por su humildad, carisma y espectacular y única voz, estamos seguros de que conquistará y liderará el género tropical en todo el mundo durante muchos años.”
With a plethora of certified Diamond, Platinum and Gold-selling hits, Dj Buddha has helmed the Christian Alicea project from its beginning via his independent label, Therapist Music, alongside another renowned and multi-awarded producer and songwriter, Eliot ‘El Mago D Oz’ [Olga Tañón, Ricky Martin, Arcangel, Elvis Crespo and J. Alvarez], and Joshua Ramirez & Carlos Palacios of JackNine Films.
Alicea dove into the Latin salsa scene in 2022, with his singles “Cobarde” and “Vuelve” which led him to dominate the radio charts in the U.S. and earned him a spot in the Top 20 in Billboard’s Tropical Airplay for 20 weeks. The singles were such a great hit that he dominated the number one spot in other Latin American markets.
In 2023, Alicea released his first studio album titled “Yo” which debuted at #6 on Apple Music’s Latin Albums chart and yielded new hits like “Aroma” and “Bendición Mame y Pape”.
